The Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association Plans an Amended Fall Season

The QSOA anticipates opening the season on November 14, 2020 with Serenades—small ensembles of orchestra musicians performing selections curated by Music Director Dr. Bruce Briney.

The reimagined fall concert season will include safety measures, but these will not diminish the music itself.  If anything the audience will gain a new appreciation for the superb talent of individual musicians.

“We cannot offer the full-house concerts that our patrons are used to, so we will focus on what our ensembles can creatively do within state guidelines” said General Manager Jane Polett. “This concert may look a little different, but we plan to make it a safe and joyful experience for everyone.”

Plans for the remainder of the season include a cozy Christmas concert in December, the annual Young Artist concert in February, Symphony Chorus concerts in March and May, and an orchestra concert in April.

The Quincy Area Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorus will begin later this fall.
