Spring Raffle Awards $1000 Prize

A $1000 top prize will be given away this spring as part of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association’s 13th annual raffle. The raffle kicks on in early January and concludes in April. Proceeds from the raffle go directly to support concerts offered by QSOA to the community.

The first place ticket will win $1,000, with a second place winner earning two round trips to Chicago on SkyWest and a third place winner earning two season tickets for the 2018-19 season. Tickets for the raffle are $10 each, or 12 tickets for $100, and can be purchased from any member of the orchestra, chorus or Encore. Members of the QSOA board will also engage in a direct sales effort, with a goal of raising $10,000 for the QSOA season. The drawing will be held at “The Planets” season finale concert, on Saturday, April 21 at QJHS Morrison Theater. An early-bird drawing with a $250 prize will be held in March, with that winner also eligible for the grand prize.

“This is an exciting time for the QSOA,” said board President Randy McFarland. “The community has embraced our organization for seven decades and continues to do so every season” McFarland said. “We rely on them to continue our mission and it’s gratifying to have the kind of civic involvement that we enjoy.”

The QSOA, led by Music Director Bruce Briney, is celebrating its 70th season, entitled Milestones. For more information, call the symphony office at 222-2856 or visit www.qsoa.org.
